Short history

The Partnership Collective began in March 2015 when a group of about 15 MPD equippers from different European organisations got together in the Netherlands as Network Forum Guiding Group. The Network Forum Guiding Group formed in 2018 when Agape Europe built a joint ‘management team’ with different European organisations to run bi–annual events focused on MPD.

Agape Europe had been organising European MPD events for their own staff already since 2012. After the 2018 Network Forum event in Germany, the next event in 2021 was online due to covid. The 2024 event in Spain served more than 120 participants from nearly 40 organisations and 20 countries across Europe.

Significant Changes in 2025

Some outcomes from the get-together in 2025 helped shape how we function today as a community of practice.

• The group agreed to continue working together as European MPD equippers, but to change the name to Partnership Collective.
• Changing the tagline from ‘equipping the MPD equippers’ to ‘empowering MPD equippers’ helps to keep our focus on facilitating the equipping and connecting of MPD representatives.
• This allowed a more official, organisational structure, with emphasis on equipping, to become a more lightweight network, with emphasis on empowering the equipping.
